My Background

I started studying guitar in 2006 at the age of 9 which started my journey as a musician. In high school I found a love for performing and for choir which led to me pursuing a degree in music education.

 

I graduated from Michigan State December 2019 with a K-12 music education degree where I focused primarily on choral and vocal pedagogy and elementary/general music based in Music Learning Theory. I have been teaching private guitar and voice lessons since 2018 and love every lesson.

 

Since 2021 I have worked in Ellsworth, Maine teaching general and vocal music classes. I teach piano, guitar, ukulele, music theory, computer music, and conduct various vocal ensembles. I am excited to see what else I get to teach as I continue my journey as a music educator.

As someone who had to practice incredibly hard to get where I am today, I know the importance of a good music teacher. I’ve taken everything I have learned over the years and combined it into an approach that is friendly, approachable and effective. Contact me to find out more.
